Oxygen Tango's vision is to enable deep connectedness through authentic verbal and non-verbal dialogue, by offering a rich, exploratory, peer-supported, non-competitive, excellence-stimulating learning environment with clear, progressive, objective criteria for growth. 

Why it matters? People need authentic community, and it's a very complex, resource-intensive, long-term initiative to grow a true community that really works and values and cares for each individual - while training each individual to care for the whole. 

Feeling separate causes many social ills: arguments, sickness, violence, depression, abuse, conflict and waste. Through finding connection through all the conversations that happen when we are actively engaged in community, we can sidestep this waste and release the extraordinarily powerful love and creativity latent in humanity.  

We are an educational organization developing systems to teach people all the skills that enable participation in meaningful community. Our founding focus is improvised social dance, because we believe that if people learn to connect and embrace one another physically, and to be present in the moment to improvise together and accept mistakes, then authentic connection is more likely. 

Our aim is to make the disciplines which are the living technologies of human connection, and clear paths to achieve growth in them, available to people everywhere and spark a movement in which connecting presently in the moment is seen as the highest value and the way we can best enable service to the earth and all the systems that nourish it. We currently offer a world class Argentine Tango program that forms the basis of connection through collaborative physical movement practice.  

We believe that creating  authentic community built from a network of authentic interpersonal bonds will enrich any human endeavor, and for this we want to systematize and market the training and education that will make that possible.
