Pacific West Academy operates in the security and investigations sector, focusing on training and certifying individuals for executive protection roles. Its programs aim to build practical proficiency in physical security operations and close protection while grounding graduates in social responsibilities required for security work, addressing a gap noted by its founder in applicants’ foundational knowledge. Based in Los Angeles, California, the academy has grown to a size that serves a mid-range team and positions itself as a provider of specialized, vocational training within the security field.

Founded in 2012 as part of Advanced Security Concepts, Inc., the organization emphasizes a structured path to professional readiness for executive protection professionals. Its target market includes those seeking to enter or advance in the protective security domain, including veterans and other applicants who may need foundational capabilities. Recent recognition from industry publications and awards suggests continued visibility within the executive protection training landscape.
