Padic, Inc. is a small information services firm based in Gainesville, Texas, founded in 1991 by Dick and Patty Haayen as a private investigation practice. In its early years it specialized in skip tracing and insurance fraud investigations for clients in the greater North Texas region. A few years later, the company established an Environmental Research Division to support large insurance joint defense groups involved in oil and gas Super Fund disputes; this division now handles environmental matters across the country.

In 2001, Padic added a Financial Services Division focused on pre-loan due diligence for international banks, enabling the firm to extend its investigative reach to all 50 states and eight foreign nations. The firm expanded again in 2008 with the addition of Process Service, allowing documents to be served nationwide. Today Padic remains family owned, maintains a small office staff supplemented by field investigators and process service contractors, and covers the investigative spectrum from pre-employment screening to locating foreign assets.
