Pagoda was a technology services firm based in Miami, Florida, dedicated to developing core components for the NEAR blockchain ecosystem. The company aimed to broaden access to the digital economy by reimagining how software is built and distributed, with a focus on enabling individuals to control their assets, data, and governance within an Open Web framework. Its work aligned with the NEAR ecosystem, supporting developers and teams building decentralized applications and related infrastructure. Pagoda announced that it would cease operations in February 2025 and decentralize its functions into NEAR ecosystem teams and committees, a move described as part of ongoing decentralization within the ecosystem. A 2022 update highlighted a continued emphasis on improving developer experience, including new tools to create and maintain dApps, along with tutorials, infrastructure, and governance controls.
