The Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier is a Civil War-focused campus in Petersburg, Virginia that blends interactive, high-tech museum experiences with hands-on activities on a 424-acre site. The complex comprises four museums and four antebellum homes on the Breakthrough Battlefield of April 2, 1865, and preserves extensive Civil War earthworks. The site has been designated a National Historic Landmark and was recognized by the Travel Channel as one of Virginia’s best places to visit. It offers educational and experiential programming, including the Civil War Adventure Camp, and maintains digital archives accessible through pamplinpark.org since 2020. In January 2023, Colin Romanick was appointed Executive Director.
