Our Story: Grady “Bubber” Brown grew up farming on his father’s land in Lake Providence, Louisiana. A proud steward of the land and community, Bubber was determined to keep his crew employed year-round rather than lay them off during the winter. In 1983 he cooked large batches of his mother’s time-honored pepper sauce, bottled it, and sold it — the sauce sold out by mid-spring, and producing hot sauce quickly became a full-time business. Today Panola Pepper Corporation employs more than 30 members of the Lake Providence community and produces nearly 100 handcrafted, high-quality food products in a modern production and distribution center that remains “Right on the Farm.” We continue Bubber’s traditions of great flavor, honest work, and service to the land and people who raised us. Every purchase supports the land, our community, and our country — and for that we are grateful.
