Parish Catalyst is a small organization based in Los Angeles, California, that works with Catholic parishes to accelerate growth by connecting pastoral teams through a structured Learning Community. Its approach is modeled on an Evangelical leadership network, bringing together pastors with demonstrated creative leadership and select members of their pastoral teams to participate. The process encourages participants to challenge one another and expand ministry visions beyond current parish strategies. While each Learning Community engages a small number of parishes directly, the model is designed to influence a wider audience as these parishes test and refine new ministry approaches before sharing them with others. Participating parishes have developed more welcoming hospitality, deeper prayer life, clearer goals, stronger leadership, and more active outreach to young adults. The organization aims to launch at least two new Learning Communities each year for the next decade, with a goal of impacting roughly 300 Catholic parishes to revitalize and grow the church.
