Based in Boston and established in 1997, the organization pursues international collaborations to strengthen client health systems in key areas such as patient care, education and training of the workforce, quality improvement, and research. It emphasizes a hands-on, collaborative approach, building long-term partnerships that deliver services in strategy and planning, workforce development, quality improvement, and research with the support of Partners HealthCare’s Harvard-affiliated network. PHI’s client base spans more than 40 countries, working with health systems to co-create solutions tailored to local needs. Its services are designed to help partners expand care capacity, elevate care quality, and advance education and research through targeted programs and joint development. In March 2024, news noted that Partners HealthCare, the broader organization, announced the acquisition of RevSpring, Inc., reflecting ongoing strategic activity within the network.
