The Partnership for Children of Johnston County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the safety, health, and emotional well-being of young children. We do this by strengthening the quality of early childhood care, supporting families, and reaching children who are most at risk. Through collaboration with community partners who share our commitment, we work toward ensuring early learning success and school readiness for every child in Johnston County. We prepare children for a brighter future. Our message is simple: children matter—all children. Regardless of circumstance, background, or physical or intellectual ability, every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. The Partnership for Children supports families and early childhood educators by promoting healthy development, safe environments, and strong foundations for learning across Johnston County. Research consistently shows that the first five years of a child’s life shape the course of their future. During these early years, children are learning far more than colors and ABCs. They are learning how the world works—how to communicate, collaborate, regulate emotions, and solve problems. These experiences build critical brain pathways that influence lifelong learning, opportunity, and success. Our Mission The Partnership effectively leverages a wide range of resources to ensure that Johnston County’s youngest children and their families receive the educational, health, and emotional support they need—laying the foundation for lifelong success. Our Vision Bright futures for every child in Johnston County.
