Pathways to Healing is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1983 and based in Columbia, South Carolina. It operates as one of South Carolina’s 15 rape crisis centers, providing advocacy and supportive services to survivors of sexual assault across Richland, Lexington, Newberry, Clarendon, and Sumter counties while educating the broader community to identify and prevent sexual violence. The organization pursues its mission to end sexual violence through advocacy, education, and direct, survivor-centered support. Its staff are trained to address the diverse needs of Midlands communities, including LGBTQIA+ survivors, people with disabilities, Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, immigrants, teens, and male survivors, among others. The work is grounded in a commitment to direct healing support and community education within the Midlands regional context.
