The mission of Patients Rising is to empower patients and caregivers to navigate healthcare challenges, share their stories, and influence the policies that impact their lives. 

As a national patient advocacy group, we confront barriers in the U.S. healthcare system—from high costs and limited access to insurance denials and drug pricing issues—while building a future where patient voices drive meaningful reform. We provide education, resources, and advocacy tools to help those living with chronic and life-threatening illnesses become confident advocates, alongside their doctors, in controlling their healthcare choices.

Our key programs include the Patient Empowerment Center for flexible, self-guided learning and real-world advocacy strategies; the Advocacy Masterclass for expert training in storytelling, navigating health systems, and lobbying; and the Patient-Focused Policy Center, which breaks down critical policy issues with actionable steps for patients to engage in federal and state policy efforts. 

We amplify real patient stories to fuel change, host events, Fly-ins at the federal and state level, and partner with advocacy groups to advance patient-first reforms.
