How We Operate:
We are a custom shop: a big room, piles of wood, lots of tools and skilled craftspeople building whatever you require. This kind of operation has been around since ancient times, but has always been a reflection of the current state of manufacturing. We overlay modern tools and techniques on traditional methods in order to bring you the best of the past and the future. Our aim is to provide beautiful, durable and practical furniture at a reasonable price. 

Brief History:
Paul Downs started making furniture in 1986, in a small shop in Manayunk.  Over the years we have outgrown 4 other shops and we now operate a 33,000 square foot shop in Bridgeport, PA. Most of our work is for commercial clients, but we do a few residential jobs each year as well. We specialize in large conference tables and credenzas.
