Pavilion Data Systems provides a high-performance, dense storage platform built around NVMe and NVMe-over-Fabrics, designed for scalable deployment. The company positions itself as a data analytics acceleration platform provider and a pioneer in NVMe-oF technology. In 2022, Pavilion announced a collaboration with Los Alamos National Laboratory to co-develop analytics acceleration by offloading analytics functions from storage servers to the storage array, minimizing data movement near storage.

The company is based in San Jose, California, and operates with a relatively small to mid-sized team. It has a history of early NVMe-over-Fabrics work, launching its first rack-scale array in 2018, and was recognized in 2022 by DCIG as a Top 5 Storage for Life Sciences Solution.
