Peli Peli is a South African restaurant concept that features its "South African flavors, Southern Hospitality". Created by founders Chef Paul Friedman, Aiki Michael Tran and Thomas Nguyen, Peli Peli has two fine-dining locations in Houston located at Vintage Park (opened April 2009) and the Galleria (opened April 2015) with plans for a fast casual/QSR concept called Peli Peli Kitchen that will open in Spring 2016. Currently ranked #1 (Vintage Park) and #6 (Galleria) out of 7,000 Houston restaurants on Tripadvisor with at least 4.5 stars on every food website (yelp, opentable), Peli Peli has developed a loyal following with its focus on company culture and customer service. Peli Peli places a premium on its own staff believing that it is possible to create a positive, culture-driven environment within the restaurant industry. Peli Peli is still a young family with many imperfections, and we don’t know what we are doing most of the time. But we do know how to take care of our employees and our customers.
