Pesticide Action Network North America is a nonprofit organization focused on replacing hazardous pesticides with ecologically sound and socially just alternatives. It operates as one of five PAN regional centers, connecting local and international groups across consumer, labor, health, environment, and agriculture sectors into a global citizen action network. The network challenges the global spread of pesticides and defends the right to health and environmental quality, supporting a transition to a just and viable society. The organization is based in Berkeley, California. The international Pesticide Action Network comprises more than 600 organizations in 90 countries and has worked for environmental justice, sustainable agriculture, and food sovereignty for about 40 years. A recent development includes a partnership with Our City, Our World in July 2024 to develop a pesticide free school policy.
