We specialise in expert-led cultural tours: archaeological and historical tours, food tours, adventure family tours and walking holidays, as well as bespoke Turkish gulet charters. The company was started by Peter Sommer who in 1994, walked 2,000 miles across Turkey, retracing the route of Alexander the Great. In the process he fell in love with the country, its people, and its ancient civilizations. He began organising and leading tours in Turkey in 1996 and still leads some of the company’s tours. Originally an archaeologist then an award-winning TV Director, Peter has worked on many acclaimed BBC TV series, such as In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great and Tales from the Green Valley. Accredited by ABTA and AITO our trips are primarily gulet cruises and private gulet charters, along the coasts of Croatia, Italy and Turkey and through the Greek Islands. They combine relaxation, good food and swimming with cultural adventures. We also offer scheduled land tours such as our Exploring Crete, Exploring Sicily, Exploring Athens and Exploring Rome tours as well as tailor-made land-based trips.
