PetFix Northeast Ohio is a small nonprofit in the veterinary services sector focused on reducing pet overpopulation in Northeast Ohio by promoting spay/neuter and making these procedures affordable and accessible for a broad range of stakeholders. Its target audience includes individual pet owners, feral cat caregivers, shelters, rescues, and animal control agencies that place animals for adoption. The program operates a mobile spay/neuter clinic and, since 2013, a stationary clinic in Euclid to extend reach in the Cleveland area; to date, the medical team has altered more than 37,500 dogs and cats, contributing to fewer animals entering shelters or living as strays. The initiative originated from two years of national program research and began with the mobile clinic in 2005–2006, expanding to a fixed facility in Euclid in 2013. Based in Euclid, Ohio, the organization functions as a regional provider within nonprofit veterinary services, emphasizing prevention through accessible sterilization. Its services are designed for pet owners, feral cat caregivers, shelters, rescues, and animal control agencies across a nine-county region, aligning with regional animal welfare objectives.
