PetroHab, LLC, headquartered in Houston, Texas, manufactures, leases, sells, and maintains modular Hot Work Safety Enclosures (“HWSE”), often referred to in the Oil & Gas Industry as "habitats".

In its pursuit of excellence and innovation, PetroHab™ has developed three distinct HWSE products that cater to varying onshore and offshore applications. These products include the PetroHabitat™ pressurized HWSE, specifically designed for use in classified hazardous areas; the PetroLite™ open or closed top, non-pressurized HWSE, designed to contain the sparks, splatter and glare from hot work operations; and the PetroShield™ HWSE, which is specifically designed to both contain the by-products of hot work and shelter personnel whilst performing hot work on pipelines.

Since sparks and molten materials can be scattered more than 35 feet during hot work related activities such as welding, cutting, grinding, chipping, and brazing, it comes as no surprise that hot work is a leading cause of industrial fires that result in damages in excess of $1,000,000 per incident. It is with the goal of mitigating such hazards that PetroHab was founded.

Although each of PetroHab’s products are designed for specific applications, the modular and readily interchangeable panels of every PetroHab HWSE incorporate the following:

Patent pending Quadra-Lock® panel interlocking technology;          
ANSI/FM 4950 certified silicone coated fiberglass fabrics capable of withstanding up to 1,500º F; 
Heavy welded D-Rings for enhanced suspension and/or tie-down capabilities; and
Highly temperature resistant Kevlar® thread stitching.
