Phillips University was founded in 1907 by Dr. Ely Vaughn Zollars in Enid, Oklahoma, and for more than 90 years, the university provided a high-quality, private education to thousands of students from around the world. The Phillips University experience was unique, and education centered around the four pillars of spiritual, intellectual, and physical development as well as social interaction and growth. While the university closed its doors in 1998, today, over 8000 alumni, along with two surviving organizations, carry on the proud Phillips University legacy. The Phillips University Legacy Foundation provides student leadership development and scholarship support while connecting and supporting alumni. Likewise, the Philips University Alumni and Friends Association proudly speaks as the voice of alumni and friends: communicates, preserves, and perpetuates the heritage of Phillips University.
