Phoebe Putney Health System is a not-for-profit healthcare delivery network serving more than half a million residents in Southwest Georgia. It comprises three hospitals, family medicine clinics, rehabilitation facilities, and specialty physician offices, with Phoebe Physicians forming an employed group of more than 300 clinicians across 42 clinics in nine counties. The flagship Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is a 691-bed regional medical center offering a broad range of services, including cancer care, heart and vascular services, obstetrics, pediatrics, wound care, and a women's health center, along with the region's sole neonatal intensive care unit. The system also includes Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, a 76-bed community hospital in Americus, and Phoebe Worth Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Sylvester. In June 2026, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center was designated as a Level III Emergency Cardiac Care Center by the Georgia Department of Public Health.
