Nestled in the rolling hills of  historic Chester County, in the shadow of Valley Forge National Park, the  Phoenixville Area School District is an  undiscovered gem.  Located 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia, the District serves a diverse population of students from East Pikeland  Township, Schuylkill Township, and the Borough of Phoenixville.

The District serves approximately 4000 students, and is made up of six schools:  
Phoenixville Area Early Learning Center
Barkley Elementary 
East Pikeland Elementary
Schuylkill Elementary 
Phoenixville Area Middle School
Phoenixville Area High School 

The District employs 310 professional staff, 190 support staff, and 35         administrators/contract  employees.
