PhotoVoice is a London-based photography organization in England that focuses on participatory photography and digital storytelling to enable underrepresented communities to speak out and represent themselves. Working with charities, NGOs and community organisations, it designs and delivers tailor-made projects that build skills, provide platforms for advocacy, and support social change. The organization operates at the intersection of arts, media, development and social change, using photography as a flexible tool that can cross cultural and linguistic barriers and be adapted to varied abilities. In 2025 PhotoVoice published a methodology paper and launched a Participatory Photography initiative, reflecting an effort to formalize and expand its practice. Earlier collaborations include partnerships in 2023 with Hackney Council and Trolley Books to support citizenship ceremonies by gifting attendees a copy of the book New Londoners.
