Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) is a Washington, DC-based organization that draws on medical and public health expertise to address nuclear threats, climate change, and environmental degradation. It seeks to shape energy, environmental, and nuclear weapons policy at local, state, and federal levels by injecting a health perspective into public deliberations, supported by a nationwide network of about 36,000 health professionals and concerned citizens across 24 chapters. PSR is the US affiliate of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and a Partner Organization of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, linking it to Nobel Peace Prize–recognized efforts and a global network of physicians concerned with nuclear risks. In early 2026, the PSR Colorado Working Group partnered with Genderandradiation and completed an eleven-week Nuclear Weapons & Radiation: Health Risks & Advocacy training for health professionals.
