Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir (PEBCC) empowers and develops youth through engagement in a vibrant, nurturing and internationally recognized choral arts community. We do this through championing artistic excellence via music education, innovative artistry, community building and cultural exchange. PEBCC serves over 350 East Bay children and youth annually, ages 5-19, from 23 different cities in the Bay Area. Children receive an excellent music education via comprehensive, sequential choral ensemble training, community performances, summer camp intensives, professional collaborations and national and international touring. Every three years, the choir convenes youth choirs from around the globe for the Golden Gate International Choral Festival - the only festival of its kind in the United States. Within the international choral community, PEBCC is acclaimed for its advancement of the choral arts through the commissioning of new music. PEBCC strives to uplift and highlight composers from historically marginalized communities to diversify both the cultural education of our singers and the greater choral community.
