Pilbara Ports is a Western Australian Government Trading Enterprise operating in the maritime transportation sector, based in Port Hedland. It functions as the world's largest bulk export port authority, overseeing the ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, with planned additions at Anketell, Cape Preston East and Balla Balla. The authority is governed under the Port Authorities Act 1999 WA and is poised to assume oversight of additional ports currently administered by the Department of Transport, including Barrow Island, Cape Preston, Onslow and Port Walcott. The network serves bulk exporters and other maritime users by providing port infrastructure and governance for bulk export operations; in 2026 it announced a partnership with Yara International ASA to advance ammonia bunkering plans.
