Pilchuck Glass School is an international center for glass art education founded in 1971 by Dale Chihuly with support from Anne Gould Hauberg and John H. Hauberg. It operates from a tranquil campus in Stanwood, Washington, set in the Cascade foothills on a former tree farm. Each May through September, the school offers a summer program with five concurrent courses in glassworking, taught in small classes by renowned instructors and emphasizing experimentation and collaboration. The institution also runs residencies in fall and spring for emerging and established artists, creating opportunities for continued development. A recent development is the 2020 introduction of a Digital Imaging Lab adjacent to the Print Studio, expanding its resource base.
