Pinelands Alliance is a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to protecting the New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve. It pursues broad public involvement in preservation and works with both private and public conservation agencies to secure land protection and development rights. Based in Vincentown, New Jersey, the organization emphasizes justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in its work while safeguarding the region’s natural resources and scenic values.

Core initiatives include Pinelands Adventures for outdoor recreation and public understanding of the Pinelands, Rancocas Creek Farm as a sustainable, chemical-free farm linked to conservation, and AccessNature to expand open-space access for people of all abilities, along with the Landscape Makeover Program to convert lawns and aging stormwater systems into native habitat that benefits water quality. A recent development is the March 2026 agreement under which the Black Run Preserve Headwaters in Evesham is slated for permanent preservation through a sale to the New Jersey Conservation Foundation, with support from local and state partners.
