Piramal Swasthya is a major not-for-profit organization in India's primary health care sector, concentrating on maternal and child health, nutrition, adolescent health, and non-communicable diseases. It aims to make health care accessible, affordable, and available to all, with emphasis on those most vulnerable, and operates as part of the Piramal Foundation—the philanthropic arm of the Piramal Group. Based in Hyderabad, Telangana, the organization works closely with central and state governments to support universal health coverage. Its programs are beneficiary-centric and designed to deliver measurable health and nutrition outcomes, with 35 projects across 21 states and a track record of touching 124 million lives to date. Piramal Swasthya operates as an implementation partner for corporate and iNGO CSR initiatives, grounded in values of knowledge, action, care, and impact and collaboration across government, non-government, and corporate partners. In 2019, it launched the UMMEED community-based cancer screening programme in partnership with CARE Hospitals to bolster early detection and reduce cancer mortality in the community.
