A collaborative landscape architecture studio where people-focused design leads to the creation of dynamic built environments; PLACES - public and private. Our creative environment strives to align proven methodologies and industry standard techniques with artistry, flair, and originality. We critically evaluate design alternatives in our efforts to develop the prime solution. Safety, maintenance, resource conservation, cost, aesthetics, and vernacular context are all elements incorporated into the solution that tells our client’s story. People are drawn to activated spaces. Creating a sense of place in a public space can simply mean enhancing the pedestrian experience by adding furniture, umbrellas, canopies, paving, fountains and planters. The addition of benches for adequate resting spots invites customers to enjoy themselves in the space. Plazas and courtyards serve as gathering places. The design process includes consideration for pedestrian amenities as well as color palettes that respond to the context of the building and natural features of the environment. Collectively we develop a site plan that integrates vehicle and pedestrian safety, storm water drainage, lighting, entry signage and dynamic planting.
