Placeware is an application suite which allows any business to monitor and understand human interaction within any space they control and gives insight into how to achieve their business goals. Placeware automatically tracks information such as the number of people, number of groups, number of lines, length of lines, etc. It also creates heatmaps representing the amount of traffic in each of location of a place and the number of people that interact with it on average, for how long, and at what times. We can also understand what each person is doing (talking, sitting, shopping, standing, eating, etc.) and then serve all of this information onto a dashboard which can allow for a complete understanding of the way people interact with any space. This information can then be used to make decisions on things such as the number of employees who should be present, when to run deals depending on traffic trends, how to change layout to maximize the amount of time people spend in the space, and so much more! The remarkable thing about this suite is that it is also takes privacy into consideration and never uses face or head tracking technology to make its predictions. It is also easy to use with a cheap camera device that takes just 10 minutes to set up in any area.
