Planned PEThood of Georgia is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit with 16 years of lifesaving impact. Based in Duluth, we provide vital, mission-driven services that directly support pets and the communities they live in across Metro-Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we address the root causes of pet overpopulation and expand access to care- keeping dogs and cats healthy, families together, animals out of shelters, and preventing suffering before it begins. ⏺️ Wellness Clinic: Our Gwinnett County nonprofit clinic offers low cost spay/neuter surgeries, affordable veterinary care, vaccinations, and treatment for minor health issues. By making these services affordable, we prevent suffering before it starts and improve the lives of thousands of pets and their families each year. ⏺️ Outreach: Through free vaccine clinics and outreach events, we bring essential veterinary care for cats and dogs, directly into communities where families face financial, transportation, or logistical barriers. ⏺️ Foster & Adoption Services: Vulnerable cats and kittens receive second chances through our rescue, foster, and adoption program. They receive full medical care at our Duluth clinic including vaccinations, treatment for minor health issues, and spay/neuter surgeries. In loving foster homes, they are nurtured and supported until adoption. ⏺️ Community Cats Program: We work with Georgia residents to care for community cats (feral cats and friendly strays) through humane trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) services and support for colony caretakers. ⏺️ Humane Education: We empower current and future pet owners to become responsible caretakers through educational events and online resources. Mission Statement: Helping pets and their families by providing innovative programs and affordable services that save lives.
