Planted is a Swiss-based producer that makes plant-based meat using proprietary structuring and fermentation processes to mimic the taste and fibrous, juicy texture of animal meat while using clean ingredients. The company designs its products to be formed in various sizes and textures and avoids additives across its lineup. Its range includes planted.chicken, planted.pulled, planted.kebab, planted.duck, planted.schnitzel, planted.bratwurst, planted.slices Lyoner, and planted.steak, and these products are distributed through more than 6,100 restaurants and 8,700 retail outlets across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, the UK and BeNeLux, as well as via a Europe-wide webshop. Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich, Planted is headquartered in the Zurich region, with its principal production facility in Kemptthal, a glass-house operation open to the public, and it holds B Corporation certification. In 2025 the company expanded its production capacity with a new facility in Memmingen, Germany, to meet rising demand across Western Europe.
