Platinum Poolcare, founded in 2007 by industry veterans James Atlas and Terry Smith, specializes in all aspects of pool design, construction and renovation, maintenance and repairs with added focus on specialty aquatic features such as waterfalls, lazy rivers, rock water applications, statuary and other luxury waterscape amenities. Platinum Poolcare has serviced and constructed pools at hundreds of high-end residential properties throughout the greater Chicagoland area as well as in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. The company also services some commercial facilities, including the hydrotherapy and resistance-training pools at the Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks and White Sox stadiums and arenas. Based in Wheeling, Ill., the company’s headquarters spans 10,000 square-feet of warehouse and office space with 58 trucks, 90 employees during peak season, and one of the industry’s largest onsite replacement parts inventory for quick fixes. Platinum Poolcare has repeatedly graced the cover of various industry magazines, and has earned hundreds of awards for its designs. in 2010 the company was added to Aqua Magazine’s Hall of Fame, a prestigious designation requiring five consecutive years of elected leadership.  The company was recently featured on national television, appearing in both HGTV's Million Dollar Rooms and Destination America's Epic Pools.
