Playground Safety Services, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Roger and Donnis Davis who were performing audits and inspections for many of the child care centers located in Cleveland County. These audits and inspections were funded by the Smart Start Initiative through The Cleveland County Partnership for Children with the Goal of Providing SAFE Outdoor Learning Environments for All the Child Care Centers in Cleveland County. Thus the “PLAY IT SAFE” slogan was adopted as Our Motto with the Goal of Providing SAFE Playgrounds still being Our Main Focus today and has allowed PSSI-PLAYSTRUCTION to become the Carolina’s Only True “TURNKEY” Playground Company with operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
