PLMA - Private Label Manufacturers Association is a non-profit trade organization dedicated exclusively to the store brands sector. Based in New York, it represents more than 5,000 member companies worldwide and serves as a platform for industry dialogue, market information, and networking among private label manufacturers. The organization coordinates events and leadership activities that support its members in both food and non-food categories within the private label ecosystem. Private label products account for about one-quarter of U.S. grocery purchases, and store-brand sales reached $283 billion in 2025, illustrating the scale of the market PLMA serves. In 2026, PLMA announced its new Board of Directors and Executive Committee with Mark Cheney as chair, and its flagship Private Label Trade Show is scheduled to be held in Chicago in November.
