PLUS ME Project uses personal storytelling to build confidence in youth as they pursue college, career, and life goals. It offers guest speaker presentations, storytelling and writing workshops, and professional development training for students, parents, and educators. Based in Los Angeles and founded in 2013 by Richard Reyes, a former LAUSD student, the organization has reached over 150,000 students from more than 400 middle and high schools nationwide. Over eight years, PLUS ME developed six story-based programs that help students, guardians, and educators construct their own narratives through guided reflection and sharing, supporting wellness and future goals. In 2017, the organization received the Starfish Impact Judges Prize of $4,000.
