Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the PMI Southwest Ohio Chapter operates within the professional training and coaching space focused on project management. With a history of more than 35 years, the organization provides a forum for professional development and networking and aims to develop leaders for the Chapter and PMI. The group serves a small staff and more than 1,000 chapter members, of whom about 64 percent hold PMP certification.

In January 2021, the chapter formed an In-person Events Committee to guide future events; for the remainder of 2021, activities were held virtually. The committee was intended to develop policies for a return to in-person events in early 2022.
