The PMSA (Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association) is one of Queensland’s longest standing education groups, overseeing four independent schools - Brisbane Boys’ College, Clayfield College, Somerville House and Sunshine Coast Grammar School - along with our outdoor education and experiential learning centre, Rising Peaks at Lake Moogerah. Founded in 1918, the PMSA is a joint mission of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod, and the Presbyterian Church of Queensland. Today, we’re a financially strong not-for-profit organisation that provides strategic leadership, governance and support across our schools, ensuring each one stays true to its values while delivering an exceptional education. Across the group, the PMSA serves almost 5000 students and employs more than 2000 staff. Our mission is to provide outstanding teaching and learning environments grounded in Christian values, helping students achieve personal excellence, live fulfilling and purposeful lives, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. The PMSA Board consists of 13 members - five appointed by each of our founding Churches and three appointed by the PMSA Board itself. The Board is supported by several standing committees, a School Council at each school and the PMSA corporate office in Toowong.
