PEEC is an independent, residential environmental education center based in Dingmans Ferry, in northeastern Pennsylvania, within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Since 1972, it has served a national and international audience of students, teachers, adult learners, professionals, families, hikers, photographers, birders, and tourists through practical, experiential programs that advance environmental education, sustainable living, and an appreciation for nature. The center develops tailored programs for each group, collaborates with partner agencies, and adapts activities to meet varied needs and abilities.

In 2024, PEEC was honored with the Dr. Ruth Patrick Excellence in Education Award by the Water Resources Association of the Delaware River Basin. PEEC operates within the environmental services sector, offering educational experiences in a national park setting and reflecting a small to mid-sized organizational footprint.
