Over the past 7 years, Pony Oil has developed one of the largest and most successful mineral and royalty  aggregation engines in the industry. Pony Oil has put $400MM+ to work through partnerships with public operators, private operators, royalty funds, and family offices. Utilizing this vast network of relationships and leveraging Pony Oil’s organic sourcing capabilities, Pony Oil has raised a fund to solve for an inefficient and under-capitalized segment of the market – non-operated wellbore budgets. To underwrite these investments, Pony Oil has hired an in-house technical team with a broad experience set that spans geology, engineering, and finance. The team has spent time at both public and private operators, investment banks, and in private equity having collectively evaluated $20B in deals during their tenures.
 
Pony Oil Capital’s Fund I is a flexible, non-operated wellbore and mineral fund that was formed in August of 2019. The Fund will target acquisitions of non-operated oil and gas assets across select oil-weighted basins, including but not limited to, non-operated working interests, leasehold interests, mineral interests, and royalty interests.
