The Port of Seattle is a government administration organization founded in 1911 and based in Seattle, Washington. It owns and operates a diverse set of transportation and maritime assets, including Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Fishermen’s Terminal, public marinas, two cruise ship terminals, a grain terminal, real estate holdings, and marine cargo facilities managed through the Northwest Seaport Alliance. The port’s activities support nearly 200,000 regional jobs and about $7 billion in wages, and its Century Agenda aims to add 100,000 more jobs while advancing green and energy-efficient port operations. The Port serves a broad range of customers—air travelers, maritime shippers, fishing fleets, cruise operators, and marina users—solving infrastructure and logistics needs that underpin regional trade and mobility. It collaborates with partner ports to strengthen the Seattle-Tacoma gateway through the Northwest Seaport Alliance, a formal arrangement with the Port of Tacoma established in 2015. In June 2026, the Port helped launch the Northwest Clean Ports website to provide information and track progress on reducing emissions from seaport operations.
