The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) is Malaysia’s largest container terminal.  The port delivers reliable, efficient and advanced services to major shipping lines and box operators, providing shippers in Malaysia and abroad extensive connectivity to the global market.  PTP is a joint venture between MMC Corporation (70%), a utilities and infrastructure group and APM Terminals (30%), a leading global ports group with a global port network in 69 countries

It is located strategically at the confluence of one of the world’s busiest straits, the Melaka Straits. Suitable for transshipment activities, PTP is a world class port offering state-of-the art facilities to port users. 

PTP’s value propositions lies in its strategic location, efficient port services, expandable terminal handling capacity and competitive costing. The port is well connected to the hinterland, sea and air. The rail line that runs through PTP is directly linked to the national Malaysia rail grid which connects to Johor Port and the southern area of Thailand. 

Pelepas free-zone land is integrated with the port terminal and located directly behind the port makes it ideal for manufacturing activities and commercial activities such as value adding activities, cargo consolidation, international procurement centers and regional distribution operations.
