Posey Transport Group began in 1997 as a small car-hauling operation in the Metro-Detroit area. It broadened its operations and fleet to cover the northeastern United States, and by 1999 operated across all 50 states and Canada. In 2004 the company established a brokering department to extend its reach and service capabilities.

The firm's logistics work spans high-volume fleet relocations and the transport of various vehicle types for auctions, dealers, and defense contractors, as well as tours, vehicle launch events, ride-and-drive events, and oversized vehicles. It can move a single vehicle over a short distance or manage thousands of vehicles across long distances, illustrating its scope within the truck transportation industry. Based in Lake Orion, Michigan, Posey Transport Group operates as a small-to-mid-sized enterprise with a long operating history.
