As of December 1, 2016, Post Properties, known as one of the largest developers and operators of upscale multifamily communities in the U.S., was welcomed into MAA (Mid-America Apartment Communities). This combination created the largest multifamily REIT with a total market capitalization of approximately $15 billion.
