Divorce is a method of terminating a marriage contract between two individuals, but in reality is so much more. Divorce is often emotionally, physically, and financially draining. 

There is no specific rule on how long the divorce process lasts. In general, it is rare for the divorce process to reach a full and complete conclusion in less than one year, and some cases can remain pending for two years or more. 

The length and complexity of a divorce case is often directly related to the issues and the willingness of the parties to work collaboratively and reasonably with one another to achieve a just and fair resolution.
