Established in 1998, PMA began as the exclusive managing general agency for Capitol Preferred Insurance Company. In 2020, Capitol Preferred merged into Southern Fidelity Insurance Company, which thereafter served as PMA's sole insurance carrier.

In 2005, PMA expanded its operations by contracting with SFIC, aiming to provide its partners with cost-effective support across customer service, marketing, underwriting and claims. Today, PMA manages more than 232,000 policies through SFIC across Florida, South Carolina, Louisiana and Mississippi. Its mission is to offer agents a solid foundation and clients peace of mind, while its vision seeks growth regionally and nationally through fee-based revenue opportunities and prudent risk-bearing products and services.
