The Pregnancy Resource Center is an interdenominational Christian nonprofit based in the Pittsburgh area, established in 1989 as a 501(c)(3) organization. With hundreds of staff, it partners with local corporations, foundations, and individuals to offer free, professional alternatives to unplanned pregnancy across Pittsburgh, the South Hills, Washington County, and Homestead. All services are provided at no charge to clients, supported by donors and partner organizations. PRC's services include free pregnancy testing and options counseling, ultrasound, STD testing and treatment, and counseling for post-sexual assault and post-abortion experiences, along with educational programs. To extend its reach, the organization opened a satellite office in Homestead in 2012 and added a Mobile PRC Clinic in 2014 to serve women who cannot travel to a clinic. Its mission is to empower, encourage, and educate sexually at-risk young adults through medical services and supportive assistance.
