Preservation Long Island is a not-for-profit organization focused on protecting, preserving, and celebrating Long Island’s cultural heritage through advocacy, education, and the stewardship of historic sites and collections. In 2017, the group adopted its current name to better reflect its mission, and in recent years has engaged in activities such as collaborations with other institutions and exhibitions tied to regional history and democracy, including partnerships and public programs at its gallery and historic properties.
