Pretend City Children's Museum is a nonprofit museum-based learning space in Irvine, California, designed as a small, interconnected city where children engage in purposeful play. The venue combines hands-on experiences, role playing, and structured educational programming across 17 interactive exhibits to support early math, reading, and science skills while cultivating curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it serves all children and provides developmental screenings and resources for families, educators, and community agencies to help ensure children gain essential experiences for growth. In January 2026, Pretend City collaborated with Partners for Pediatric Vision and UCI Health’s Gavin Herbert Eye Institute to host Vision Day & Play, offering free vision care alongside inclusive, hands-on activities for children with visual impairment.
