PPI's mission is to provide products and services specifically designed to enhance the conservation, care and use of nonhuman primates for biomedical research that promotes public health. The Live Animal Division (LAD) is involved in the importation and quarantine of nonhuman primates for the purpose of resale and distribution to academic research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and the federal government. In addition the Division supports other services including but not limited to offering contract quarantine, genetic testing, software development for animal records and maintaining breeding programs for outside entities. Through PPI’s Equipment Division (ED) the company is involved in the development, manufacturing, and retail distribution of environmental enrichment products, caging, and related handling products involving in the use of nonhuman primates.
